• Outplaying your opponent
  • 4 – 10×10 yard boxes
  • 8-11 players
  • 1v1 in each box – 1,2 or 3 neutral players.
  • One team must try to keep the ball, the neutral player helps the team in possession.
  • If a team achieves 8 passes (or number to suit) they score 1 point, if they can get a one-two around their opponent they score 2 points.
  • Allow team with the ball to switch which square they are in but defenders to stay then progress where the defenders can follow.
  • This game can be physically demanding – try to play in 1 minute blocks to keep the intensity and then switch the neutral players and the opponents in 1v1 squares.
  • This is great for developing combination play, passing and receiving skills in tight areas, shielding the ball, and movement off the ball in small areas.
