• 12 + players
  • 4 – 10×10 yard squares with 2 15×20 yard boxes at either end with goals.
  • 1v1 in each box – 1v1 in each end plus a goalkeeper.
  • The aim is to transfer the ball from the defensive section into the attacking section and score.
  • The game starts with the goalkeeper, he can give the ball to the defender in his section or go straight into midfield (4 boxes) 1 midfielder can drop into the defensive section to receive the ball.
  • The team in possession try to then work the ball into the attacking section to score, the team out of possession try to win the ball back and get the ball into the attacking section to score for themselves.
  • The team in possession can switch squares (rotate) to keep possession and when the ball reaches the attacker a midfield play can join the attacking section to score.
  • If the ball goes out of play restart with the keeper, this is a good way to end your session as there as simple restrictions in the game but you can use your numbers and areas to suit what you have to work with, you could have 2v2 in either end zone if you had more players, or just have an attacker and a recovering defender when the ball gets there if you have less players.
  • You can allow your defender to step into midfield as long as someone recovers into the defensive section for them.
  • You can allow midfield players to drop in to the defensive section, or join the attacking section if the forward drops into midfield.
  • You can structure the game how you see appropriate for your team but the areas are key, as it forces the players to play under pressure, and try to progress with controlled possession.
  • This game works all aspects of a players ability.
